It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (pages 17-18).1910 yılında Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’ün de katıldığı Picardie manevraları ile türk havacılığı hızla gelişmeye başlamıştır. Bu gelişmelerden çok etkilenen şehirlerden biri de coğrafi konumundan dolayı Eskişehir’dir. Eskişehir’in havacılık tarihi ilk olarak 1912 yılında Yeşilköy (Ayastefanos) Tayyare Mektebi’nin kuruluşuyla ardından da 1926 kurulan Eskişehir Tayyare Tamir Fabrikasının kurulmasıyla başlamıştır. İlk türk tayyare mühendisi olan Selahattin Reşit Alan da bu fabrikada yaptığı çalışmalarla türk havacılığının ilerlemesine katkı sağlamıştır. Bu araştırmada Eskişehir’in Türk havacılık sektöründeki öneminin yanında Selahattin Reşit Alan’ın hayatından ve bu alanda gerçekleştirdiği projeler araştırılmıştır.Turkish aviation started to develop rapidly in 1910 with the Picardie maneuvers in which Mustafa Kemal Atatürk participated. One of the cities that has been very affected by these developments is Eskişehir due to its geographical location. The aviation history of Eskişehir first started with the establishment of Yeşilköy (Ayastefanos) Aircraft School in 1912 and then with the establishment of Eskişehir Airplane Repair Factory, which was established in 1926. Selahattin Reşit Alan who was the first Turkish aircraft engineer, contributed to the advancement of Turkish aviation with the work he carried out in this factory.
