Many Turks left the island and pioneered the creation of new settlements in Anadolu, like Side, throughout the process that started with the Greek-Turkish War of 1897 and built up to the population exchange declared at the Lausanne Negotiations in 1923. The research focuses on the social atmosphere underlying the migrations, migrations up until the population exchange, the social experiences of Cretan immigrants where they were settled, and how these manifested in Side.23 pages.TurkishCreative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlikeGiritGöçSideMübadeleTürkiyeYunanistanCreteMigrationExchangeTurkiyeGreeceGüneş ve Çoban aileleri perspektifinde Girit mübadelesi ve Side mahallesi incelemesiStudent ProjectSPB4600
