It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (pages 20-21).1905 yılında Ankara’da kurulan ilk Meslek Lisesi olan Mekteb-i Sanayi, köklü bir eğitim kurumu olmuştur. Günümüze ulaşana kadar birçok isim değişikliği geçiren Mekteb-i Sanayi, son olarak Ulus Mesleki ve Teknik Anadolu Lisesi adını almıştır. Kuruluş yıllından itibaren öncü bir duruş sergileyen Ulus Mesleki ve Teknik Anadolu Lisesi, hala eğitim vermesiyle tarihi çizgisini devam ettirmektedir. Osmanlı Devleti’nin yaşadığı maddi problemler, okulda sadece marangozluk ve kunduracılık eğitimlerine devam edilmesine ve nitelikli öğretmenlerin kaybına yol açsa da; Abidin Paşa’dan, Kalecik Kaymakamı’ndan ve devletten alınan maddi desteklerle, Mekteb-i Sanayi ayakta kalmayı bir şekilde başarmıştır. İlerleyen yıllarda, 1907 senesinde yaşanan kadro değişikliği ile Mekteb-i Sanayi olumlu gelişmeler yaşamıştır. öte yandan, Avrupa standartlarını yakalama arzusu, okul için bir dönüm noktası olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Bu araştırmada, Ulus Mesleki ve Teknik Anadolu Lisesi ile ilgili görsel kaynaklar ve 1982 yılında öğretmenliğe başlayan Mümtaz çulha, öğretmenlerden şeref ünver, Müdür Yardımcısı Saliha Yanıkkaya ve eski öğrencilerden Mehmet özdemir’in röportajlarına ulaşılmaktadır. Osmanlı dönemi ve Cumhuriyet döneminde Mekteb-i Sanayi’nin zorlukları nasıl aştığı ve günümüze Ulus Mesleki ve Teknik Anadolu Lisesi olarak ulaşmayı nasıl başardığı anlatılmaktadır.Mekteb-i Sanayi, the first Vocational High School established in Ankara in 1905, has become a well-established educational institution. Mekteb-i Sanayi, which has experienced many name changes until reaching their position now, finally is named Ulus Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School. Ulus Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, which has showed a pioneering position since its foundation, still continues its historical importance by maintaining teaching. The Ottoman State’s financial problems led to the education of only carpentry and shoehorn training in the school and the loss of qualified teachers. Thanks to Abidin Pasha, Kalecik District Governor and financial support from State, the Mekteb-i Sanayi has managed to survive. In the following years, Mekteb-i Sanayi experienced positive developments with the change of the staff in 1907. On the other hand, the desire for capturing European standards has been seen as a turning point for the school. In this research, there are pictures that related with Ulus Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School and interviews with Mümtaz çulha who was started teaching in 1982, one of the teachers is şeref ünver, Salih Yanıkkaya as assistant manager and Mehmet özdemir who is the former student.
