The Camondo Stairs, a significant structure in Galata, İstanbul attracts the attention of many. It is considered that this architectural structure was built under the influence of the art movement called Art Nouveau. The Camondo Stairs which are quite affluent from an artistic perspective, were built by one of the most famous and wealthy families of the era, The Camondos. The Camondos are a family of Jewish descent and have contributed significantly to the Ottoman Empire over economic and public works. The family was presented various awards for their contributions to the Ottoman Empire. This family, with an interest and taste in art has perished as the result of the events that took place during the First and Second World Wars.
