Ⅰ. In this article, communal living of Syrians, who are one of the long-established societies living in Turkey, and problems they dealt with in their everyday life are examined while keeping the topic restricted with years 1945-2000 and Adıyaman province. While the population of Syrians is dramatically declined in Adıyaman at the end of the 20th century, reasons behind this decline is investigated in this article. Syrians, who were not given usual minority rights after First World War, were heavily affected by Turkey’s internal and external politics mostly in a negative way resulting in a gradually increasing social oppression. As one of the results of the article, it was identified that Syrians who didn’t have rights like education in native language were forced to migrate from Adıyaman by the oppression as a result of several events that affected the whole Turkey like September events, Turkish Invasion of Cyprus and coups. Effects of the events like these on the daily life of Syrians were investigated in this article by the help of interviews conducted with Syrians lived in Adıyaman.56 pagesTurkishCreative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlikehttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/Adıyaman SüryanileriSüryanilerin toplumsal yaşamı ve sorunlarıGöçAzınlık haklarıAdıyaman SyriansCommunal living and problems of SyriansMigrationMinority right1945-2000 yılları arasında Adıyaman’daki Süryani toplumunun durumuStudent ProjectSPB3405
