It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (page 13).İsmail Hakkı Süslüay 1 Mayıs 1913 yılında İstanbul’da doğdu. Kendisi erken yaşlarda spora ilgi duymaya başladı. Milli atlet spor hayatına ise 18 yaşında katıldığı Balkan Oyunları ile başladı. Bu alanda takım arkadaşları Enver Aziz Göknil, Mehmet Ali Aybar ve Semih Türkdoğan ile önemli başarılara imza attı ve Türk atletizm tarihinin ilklerine adını yazdırdı. Bu çalışmada grup üyelerinden çağla Süslüay’ın büyük dedesi İsmail Hakkı Süslüay’ın atletizm sporuna başlamadan önceki yaşamı, bu alana yönelme nedenleri, kazandığı zaferler, dereceler ve şampiyonalar incelendi. çalışma kapsamında Hakkı Süslüay’ın torunu, çağla Süslüay’ın babası Murat Süslüay, Türkiye Atletizm Federasyonu Basın Danışmanı Sayın şevket Furkan Erbay, ve Milliyet Gazetesi Köşe Yazarı Elif çongur ile röportaj da yapıldı.İsmail Hakkı Süslüay was born on 1 May 1931 in İstanbul. He began to interested in sports at an early age. National athlete began his sports career at the age of 18 with Balkan Games. He and his teammates who are Enver Aziz Göknil, Mehmet Ali Aybar ve Semih Türkdoğan achieved significant success in this field. His name was written in the history of Turkish athetics. In this study, it is investigated that İsmail Hakkı Süslüay’s who is grand grandfather of one of the group members, çağla Süslüay, life before started athletics, the reasons fort his field, the victories, the degrees and the campionships.
