It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (page 15).Fuat Süme 2 Haziran 1966 yılında Hatay, Arsuz'da dünyaya geldi. İlkokul, ortaokul ve lise eğitimini İskenderun'da aldı. Ankara Üniversitesi'nde Ziraat Mühendisliği üzerine lisans eğitimi aldı. Lisans eğitimini tamamladıktan sonra daha iyi bir eğitim alabilmek için Birleşik Devletlere, Virginia Eyalet Üniversitesine gitti. Türkiye'ye geri döndükten sonra tütün tarımı yapmayı planlıyordu ancak önüne çıkan engeller buna elvermeyince mesleğini diğer tarım kollarında sürdürdü. Daha sonra siyasi hayata atılan Fuat Süme, 2004 yılında Arsuz'daki belediye seçimlerinde CHP'den aday olarak Türkiye'nin ilk Hristiyan belediye başkanı oldu.Fuat Süme was born on the 2nd of June in 1966 at Arsuz, Hatay. Fuat Süme went to primary and secondary school and high school at Iskenderun. He studied agricultural engineering at the Ankara University. After finishing his major, he went to Virginia State University in the United States to get an advanced education. He planned to grow tobacco products when he returned back to Turkey. However, unsuitable circumstances that he encountered in Turkey did not allow him to accomplish his aim. Because of that, he attended other agriculture fields to perform his major discipline. After that, he attended mayor elections in Hatay, Arsuz.
