It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Önemli başarılarına rağmen, Öztürk'ün başkanlık yılları, üç başarılı dönemin ardından seçimi kaybetmesiyle sona bulmuştur. Sonrasında, zarifçe siyasetten emekli olmuş, günümüzde kendi inşaat firmasında inşaat işleriyle uğraşmaya devam etmiştir.This research Project examines the process of municipalization in the town of Akçaabat-Akçakale and focuses on the life and accomplishments of Ali Türen Öztürk, the first mayor of this town municipality. The research highlights Öztürk's dedication to improving the lives of the local community during his tenure as mayor and discusses his initiatives spanning various sectors, including education and fishing. Despite his notable achievements, Öztürk's mayoral years came to an end when he lost the election following three successful terms.
