It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Türkiye'de televizyonculuğun özelleşme dönemi ve politik mizah programlarının etkisi içinde “Sabah Kahvesi” programının yeri araştırılacaktır. Programın yaratıcıları Bahadır Tokmak ve Turgay Yıldız'ın tanışıklıkları, tepki çeken içerikleri ve Flash TV ile ilişkileri ele alınacak; ayrıca Atatürk'e hakaret suçlaması ve sonrasındaki dava süreci ile sanatçıların kariyerleri üzerindeki etkileri değerlendirilecektir.This study will explore the journey of the popular 1990s political satire show "Sabah Kahvesi" from its inception to its removal from television. It will examine the privatization of television channels in Turkey and the general role of political comedy shows, with a focus on "Sabah Kahvesi."
