It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (pages 17-18).Judo, Uzak Asya kökenli bir dövüş sporu olarak 1880'li yıllardan sonra modernize olmamış bir halde uygulanmıştır. Daha sonra, Jigoro Kano'nun tekniklerini modernleştirmesi ile bugünkü formuna ulaşmıştır. İkinci Dünya Savaşı'ndan sonra uluslararası federasyonu kurulan Judo sporu hızlı bir şekilde diğer ülkelere yayılmış ve birçok uluslararası karşılaşmada yer almaya başlamıştır. Dünya'daki değişimlerle birlikte 1960'lı yıllarda Türkiye'de yapılmaya başlanmıştır. Türkiye'deki ilk yıllarında ileri teknikleri bilinmeyen Judo daha çok bu sporun ehli kişiler etrafında gelişmiştir. Kurumsallaşmayla birlikte eksiklikleri giderilen Türk Judosu yurt içinde önemli gelişmeler göstermiş ve büyük hamlelerle uluslararası alanda adından bahsettirmiştir.About 1880s, Judo appeared as Asian martial art and based on primitive mechanisms. Later on, one of the leading masters on such formation, Jigoro Kano introduced some advanced and contemporary practices of the Jiu-Jitsu. For this respect, Jiu-Jitsu took the form of an Olympic and modern martial art, that is, new manner called Judo by Jigoro Kano and then appeared in an Olympic manner, institutionalized with an international federation. Then, it has been spread around the world and involved in many international events. Judo was started to being applied by its Turkish practicers in the 1960s. However, the advanced practices of Judo were unknown by these years and Judo was likely to show activity only around some leading persons.
