It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (pages 17-18).Türkiye'de faal durumda olan emeklilik kurumlarının temeli Osmanlı İmparatorluğu'na dayanmaktadır. Osmanlı İmparatorluğu'nun son dönemlerinde açılan emekli sandıkları ve çıkarılan Nizamnameler emeklilik açısından ilk çalışmaları oluşturmaktadır. Cumhuriyet döneminde ise Osmanlı'dan kalan kurumlar genişletilmiş ve daha modern kurumlar kurulmuştur. Kurumları birleştirmek için yapılan çalışmalar sonrasında sırasıyla 1950, 1965 ve 1971 yıllarında Emekli Sandığı, Sosyal Sigortalar Kurumu ve Bağ-Kur kurulmuştur.The foundations of the institutions in Turkey which works on retirement can be traced back to Ottoman Empire. The retirement facilities which was opened and the regulations which was introduced in the last period of Ottoman Empire is considered to be the first endeavors regarding retirement. After the collapse of Ottoman Empire, these facilities were taken over by Turkey Republic whilst the administrators of Turkey opened more modern retirement institutions.
