It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Önce İleri Teknoloji Endüstri Parkı’nın (İTEP) bir parçası olarak kurulan havaalanı, daha sonra Endüstri Parkı projesinin iptal edilmesiyle projenin parçası olmaktan çıkıp yalnızca havaalanı projesi olarak kalmıştır. 1997’de açılmasına karar kılınmıştır ve 2001’de hizmete açılan İSG’nin kuruluş sürecinden Havaalanı, İşletme ve Havacılık Endüstrileri A.Ş. (HEAŞ) sorumludur. İstanbul’da kurulan ikinci havaalanı olarak Atatürk Havaalanının yolcu yükünü azaltmakta düzenli bir rol oynamıştır.For Istanbul, Turkey’s busiest city in terms of air traffic, Sabiha Gokcen International Airport (ISG) has significant importance. It was founded as a part of Advanced Technology Industry Projects (ITEP) at first and stayed as the only part of the project that came to life after ITEP was cancelled. It was decided to be built in 1997 and opened in 2001. Airport Management and Aviation Industries Inc. (HEAS) is responsible for the airport’s establishment process.
