It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (pages 23-28).Bu çalışmada 1935-1938 yılları arasında Mustafa Kemal Atatürk tarafından yurt gezileri için ve daha sonra İsmet İnönü tarafından da cumhurbaşkanlığı makam aracı olarak kullanılan Beyaz Tren’in tarihi anlatıldı. Demokrat Parti zamanında çeşitli politik tartışmalara konu olup 1964 yılında kullanımdan kaldırılan ve birçok tarihi olaya tanıklık eden Beyaz Tren araştırılırken dönemin gazete ve dergileri, Türkiye Büyük Millet Meclisi tutanakları, İnönü Arşivi, hatıratlar ve TRT Arşivi gibi kaynaklardan faydalanıldı.In this study, the story of Beyaz Tren used by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk between 1935 and 1938 to travel across the country and by İsmet İnönü as the official train for the president is investigated. Beyaz Tren which was the subject of the disputes during the Demokrat Parti time and has beared witness to many historical events was abolished the use at the 1964.
