It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (pages 20-21).1969 yılından beri siyasetin içinde olan Ramiz Ongun, siyasi hayatına ülkü ocaklarıyla birlikte atılmıştır. 1969-1980 arasında Milli Hareket Partisi (MHP) içerisinde çeşitli görevler üstlenmiş, 12 Eylül 1980 darbesinden 13 ay sonra Almanya’ya yerleşmiştir. Aktif olarak siyasette yer almadığı yurt dışı sürecinde, milliyetçi hareketi yaymak üzerine eylemlerini sürdürmeye devam etmiştir. 1989 yılında Türkiye’ye dönmüş ve 1997 yılına kadar siyasetten uzakta kalmıştır. 1997 yılında Alparslan Türkeş’in ölümünden bir ay önce Türkeş’in isteğiyle siyasete dönmüş ve farklı dönemlerde 3 kez MHP Genel Başkan adayı olmuştur. 2011 yılında MHP’den ihraç edildiğinde, 2020 DEVA Partisi kuruluşuna kadar siyasetten uzak kalmıştır. Bu araştırmada Ramiz Ongun’un kitaplarından, dönem gazetelerinden, Ramiz Ongun’la yaptığımız röportajlardan yararlanarak Ramiz Ongun’un hayatı ve Türkiye’nin 2000’ler öncesi dönemi anlatılmıştır. 1970-2000 yılları arasında Türk siyasetini, Türkiye sosyal durumunu ve MHP iç yapısını anlamak için Ramiz Ongun’un hayatı önem taşımaktadır.Ramiz Ongun has assumed many different roles in Nationalistic Movement Party (MHP) between the years of 1969-1980 and has moved to Germany 13 months after the 12 September 1980 coup d'etat. During his years abroad, in which he was politically inactive, he has continued his efforts to spread the nationalistic movement. He has returned toTurkey in 1989 and has kept his distance from politics until the year 1997. In 1997, one month before Alparslan Türkeş's death he has returned to politics and has become the general president candidate of MHP during three different terms. He has remained politically inactive after he was extruded from MHP in 2011 until the founding of DEVA Party in 2020. This research explores Ramiz Ongun's life and Turkey before the 2000s with the help of interviews done with Ramiz Ongun, his books and the newspapers of the after-mentioned time period.
