The distributed Bragg reflectors were fabricated using alternating layers of hydrogenated amorphous-silicon nitride and hydrogenated amorphous-silicon oxide. The microcavity resonance wavelength was designed to be at the maximum of the bulk hydrogenated amorphous-silicon-nitride luminescence spectrum.
