It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Bu alan özellikle son yirmi beş yılda büyük atılımlar ile birçok insanın hayatının bir parçası olmaya başladı. Yapay zekâ konusunda hem öncü bir konumda olan hem de çalışmaları ile alanına önemli katkı sunan Prof. Dr. Derviş Karaboğa, 1965 yılında mütevazı bir ailede dünyaya geldi ve 1990’lı yıllardan itibaren yapay zekâ hakkında çalışmalar yürütmeye başladı. 2005 yılında hazırladığı Yapay Arı Kolonisi çalışması ile yeni bir çığır açan Karaboğa, makalesi ile Türkiye’de en çok atıf gösterilen akademisyenlerden biri oldu ve dünyanın dört bir yanında çeşitli ödüller aldı. Yapılan bu çalışma Türkiye’nin yapay zekâ bilimi alanındaki öncüsü Derviş Karaboğa’nın hayatını, yapay zekâ bilimi ile nasıl tanıştığını ve onu uluslararası bir üne kavuşturan Yapay Arı Kolonisi Algoritması’ndan ve yapay zekâ biliminin Türkiye’deki tarihinden bahsetmektedir.Artificial intelligence, despite being a ubiquotous computing phenomenon in our lives, has relatively recent origins. This area has become an indispensable part of our lives thanks to breakthroughs in the last twenty five years. Both a pioneer and a significant contributor to artificial intelligence, Dr. Derviş Karaboğa was born to a modest family in 1965 and started getting into artificial intelligence research in the 1990s. His Artificial Bee Colony model in 2005 was such a significant leap in the field that he has become one of the most referenced scholars in Turkey and received many awards around the globe.
