It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Balkanlar'daki siyasi ve ekonomik zorlukların yanı sıra Türkiye'deki hayata nasıl uyum sağladıklarını vurgulayarak göç etme nedenlerini incelenmektedir. Araştırma, bu göçün Türkiye ve göçmenler üzerindeki etkilerini anlamak için ilk elden anlatımlardan ve tarihi belgelerden yararlanmaktadır. Bu çalışma, göç tarihinde önemli bir döneme ve göçün Türk toplumu ve kültürü üzerindeki süregelen etkilerinin incelenmesine katkı sağlamaktadır.The migration of Turkish families to Turkey in the 1950s from the Balkans is examined in this article. It is looked for their reasons of leaving their homelands, by highlighting the political and economic challenges in the Balkans, also examined how they adjusted to life in Turkey. The research makes use of firsthand accounts and historical documents to comprehend the implications of this migration on Turkey and the immigrants.
