The ‘longitudinal‘ response function at small and intennediate momentum transfer from the simulation is well approximated by the analytic results using phonons alone, provided the Debye-Waller factor is included. The ‘transverse’ response function and the large momentum transfer longitudinal response function from simulations are larger than the analytic results from confdbutions with phonons alone.EnglishResponse function of the 2D quantum electron solidArticle1361-648X
