It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (pages 25-26).İş Bankası Kültür Yayınları Türkiye’nin önde gelen yayınevleriden biridir. Bu çalışmada bu yayınevinin kuruluş sürecini, hangi ilkelerle yola çıktığını ve bu ilkelerin ne ölçüde hayata geçirildiğini ve Türk toplumunu nasıl etkilediği; istatistikler, gazete küpürleri ve çeşitli diğer kaynaklar ışığında ele alınmaktadır. Bu araştırma, Kültür Yayınları’nın kuruluşuna ve yayın hayatına dair toplu bir süreci ilgili veriler ile harmanlanmış bir derlemesi niteliğindedir. Bulgular ışığında, İş Bankası Kültür Yayınları’nın Türkiye’de kültür, sanat, edebiyat ve bilim konularında bir doğu-batı sentezi oluşturarak halkın entelektüel gelişimine katkıda bulunma amacıyla kurulduğu tespit edilmiştir.İş Bankası Kültür Yayınları is one of the main publishing houses of Turkey. In this study, we examine its foundation process, its initial set of goals and the extent to which it has achieved them, and its effect on Turkish society in light of statistics, newspaper clippings ve various other scources. This study is a complation of the publisher's foundation period, publishing life and the relevant data.
