It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (pages 14-15).Türkiye’de havacılığın başlangıcı 1900’lü yılların başlarına dayanır. Türkiye Cumhuriyeti, kurucularının muasır medeniyetlere ulaşma hedefinin gerekliliği olarak havacılık alanında gerek askeri gerekse sivil havacılık açısından kendi kendine yetebilen bir yapı kurmayı amaçlamıştır. Havacılığın gelişimi, ilgili personellerin yetiştirilmesi ve bu kişilerin eğitimi amaçlanarak planlamalar yapılmıştır. Bu planlamaların sonucu olarak Türk Hava Kurumu, Türkkuşu gibi kurumlar kurulmuştur. Bu kurumların yetiştirdiği bir havacı personel olan Hasan Nur Kıvanç, Türk havacılığına planör pilotu, planör eğitmeni, hava trafik kontrolörü, meteoroloji uzmanı olarak hizmet etmiştir. Hasan Nur Kıvanç, İnönü Hava Okulunda gerek öğrenci olarak gerekse eğitmen olarak Türk havacılığına katkı sağlamıştır. 1960’tan bu yana yüzü aşkın pilot yetiştiren Hasan Nur Kıvanç, havacılık bakımından oldukça tecrübelidir.The development of aviation activities in Turkey dates back to the early 1900s. The Republic of Turkey aimed to establish a self-sufficient structure in aviation, both in terms of military forces and civil aviation, as a necessity of its founders' goal of reaching contemporary civilizations. Consequently, institutions such as the Turkish Aeronautical Association and Türkkuşu were established. Hasan Nur Kıvanç is an aviator trained by these institutions who served the Turkish aviation as a glider pilot, glider instructor, air traffic controller, and meteorologist. Hasan Nur Kıvanç contributed to Turkish aviation both as a student and as an instructor at the İnönü Air School.
