It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Edebiyat ve tarihin birbiri ile olan bağlantısı, edebi eserler üzerinden tarihi olaylara ışık tutulmasına vesile olsa da aynı zamanda sıkı rejimler altında yazarların objektif olarak ideolojilerini, yaşanan olayların gerçek yüzünü tüm gerçekliği ile okuyucuya aktaramadıkları gözlenmiştir.The September 12 Military Coup has an important place in the history of the Republic of Turkey, an important event that has caused turmoil in the socio-economic life of the people. Its effects are also reflected in Turkish Literature. Literary writers have included the experiences of the Turkish people, who witnessed three military coups between 1960 and 1980, in their works. Latife Tekin gave place to the working-class experiences, individuals, and organizations before and after the September 12 Military Coup in her novels "Gece Dersleri" and "Berci Kristin Çöp Masalları".
