It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Günümüzde gereken rağbeti görmemesine rağmen çağdaş çerçevede ortaya konulan birçok tezhip ve minyatür eseri bulunmaktadır. Doç. Dr. Gülnihal Küpeli, geleneksel çalışmalarının yanında çağdaş dönem eserlerinde Geleneksel Türk Sanatı ideolojisini kaybetmeden alışılmışın dışında eserler ortaya koymaktadır. Bu eserlerin yanı sıra, alanında uzman kişilerle yaptığı çalışmalar da onu şu anda bulunduğu konuma getirmiş ve sanat anlayışını beslemiştir. Gülnihal Küpeli ve çalışmaları modern dünyada tezhip ve minyatür sanatına olan farklı bakış açılarını değerlendirmek ve bu bakış açılarının aracılığıyla Geleneksel Türk Sanatı kültürünün devam ettirilmesi açısından incelenmeye değer bulunmuştur.Illumination and miniature art are two branches of art that have a significant place within the framework of Traditional Turkish Arts. Although it is not in demand nowadays, there are many illumination and miniature works that have been put forward in a contemporary manner. In addition to her traditional works, Assoc. Dr. Gülnihal Küpeli is known by her contemporary works put forward without losing the ideology of Traditional Turkish Art. In addition to these works, her collaborations with experts on this field have brought her to the position she is now and nurtured her understanding of art.
