It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Barton'un Müslümanlara ve İslam'a ilişkin gözlemlerini karşılaştırmak ve zamanın Hıristiyanlarının misyoner faaliyetleri hakkında bilgi verilecek.This research paper puts its main focus on the works of James Levi Barton, who was a missionary in the early 20th century in the Ottoman Empire. He was a Christian missionary who devoted his life to theology, spread of Christianity and the evangelisation of Islamic population of Middle East and Turkey. This paper is going to make use of alternative sources of information about the missionary activities of Christians of the time in order to compare and contrast the observations of James L.
