It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. From the post-Republican period until the 1980 Turkish coup d'état period, the architecture and the variety of the people that began to live in the area has changed. The article intends to examine the changing architecture and settler profile in the Bahçelievler-Emek region by focusing on Yeşiltepe and Yıldıztepe Blocks as examples. Since the districts were intertwined, they influenced each other both politically and socially.
