It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Niyazi Ahmet Baytok, yaptığı hizmetlerle ilçenin birçok alanda ilerleme kaydetmesini sağladı. Niyazi Ahmet Baytok, belediye başkanlığı sürecinde tarım, hayvancılık, sanayi ve eğitim alanında yürüttüğü projelerle Gölpazarı’na katkı yaptı. Gölpazarı’nda yaşayan halkın refahının da artmasıyla sayesinde de ilçe dışına olan göçün büyük oranda önüne geçildi ve nüfus artışı sağlandı. Baytok, Gölpazarı belediye başkanlığını yaptığı yıllarda Türkiye’de var olan sağ ve sol gruplar arasındaki hararetli çatışmalardan ve ardından gerçekleşen 1980 Darbesinden olumsuz etkilendi. 1980 Darbesinden kaynaklanan ülke çapında yaşanan sorunlar aynı zamanda Gölpazarı’nı da etkiledi. 1980 yılında, Niyazi Ahmet Baytok, darbenin etkisiyle belediye başkanlığı görevine ara verdi. Görevden ayrılmasından belli bir süre sonra ise tekrardan belediye başkanlığı görevine dönerek Gölpazarı’na hizmet etmeye devam etti.Niyazi Ahmet Baytok served as the mayor of the Gölpazarı district, located within the boundaries of Bilecik Province, between 1973-1980 and 1984-1989. Through his endeavors, Niyazi Ahmet Baytok facilitated progress in various areas within the district. During his tenure as mayor, he contributed to Gölpazarı through projects in agriculture, livestock, industry, and education. As a result, the well-being of the local population improved significantly, leading to a substantial reduction in emigration from the district and an increase in population. Baytok was adversely affected by the heated clashes between the right and left groups in Turkey during the years he was the mayor of Gölpazarı, and the 1980 Coup that followed. The issues experienced nationwide after the 1980 Coup also had an impact on Gölpazarı. In 1980, Niyazi Ahmet Baytok temporarily suspended his mayoral duties due to the influence of the Coup.
