It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (page 15-17).Çerkesler 1864 yılında yaşanan göç sonrası çeşitli ülke ve şehirlere yerleştirilmişlerdir. Bu bölgelerden biri de Çanakkale ilinde bulunan Biga ilçesidir. Biga'ya yerleştirildikten sonra hem sosyal hayatlarında hem de içe dönük kültürlerindegözlegörülür derecede değişiklikler meydana gelmiştir. Bunda azınlıklarla kurulan etkileşimin ve yabancısı oldukları topraklara adapte olma sürecinin etkisi yadsınamaz. Tüm bu değişiklikleri sadece hayatlarının devamında değil var olan hayatlarında ve alışkanlıklarında da görebiliyoruz. Kendi vatanından kopup gelmesine rağmen kimliklerini korumak uğruna çok çaba sarf eden bir milletin yeni vatanı ile ve oranın halkı ile etkileşimi sonucu meydana gelen değişiklikler bireylerin yaşayışlarına ek olarak onların sosyal hayatlarını, ailelerini, mutfaklarını ve eleneklerini de etkilemiştir.Circassians were settled in various countries and cities after the migrationin1864.One of these regions is the Biga district in Çanakkale. Significant changes have occurred in both their social life and inward culture after their placement in Biga.The influence of the interaction with the minorities and the process of adapting to the lands they are foreign to cannot be denied. We can see all these changes not only in the continuation of theirlives but also in their existing lives and habits.
