This method can be utilized in text compression or bit-plane coding of images. Binary morphological subband decomposition operations are carried out in the Gallois Field, resulting in a computationally efficient structure. Simulation studies are presented.EnglishBinary codesComputer simulationData structuresDigital arithmeticEncoding (symbols)Image compressionImage reconstructionWavelet transformsBinary waveformBit plane codingEntropy codingGallois fieldMorphological subband decompositionZero-tree codingImage codingBinary morphological subband decomposition for image codingConference Paper10.1109/TFSA.1996.547487
