It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (pages 32-33).Kayseri’nin Kocasinan ilçesinde yer alan Kayseri Şeker Fabrikası’nın temeli 1954 yılında atılmış olup, 1955 yılında dönemin başbakanı Adnan Menderes tarafından açılmış ve üretime başlamıştır. Fabrika hem Kayseri'ye hem de bulunduğu ilçeye sosyal ve ekonomik katkıları sebebiyle fabrikanın çalışanları ve o bölgenin insanları için önemli bir yer olmuştur. Bununla beraber çevreyi korumak ve sağlıklı ürünler üretmek için birçok proje geliştirmiş ve birçok alanda hayata geçirmiştir. 1992 yılında özel statüye alınan Kayseri Şeker Fabrikası’nın 2003 yılında özelleştirilmesine karar verilmiştir ve 2005 yılında tam anlamıyla özelleşmiştir.The foundation of the Kayseri Sugar Factory, which is located in the Kocasinan district of Kayseri, was laid in 1954, and it was opened in 1955 by Adnan Menderes, the prime minister of the time, and started production. The factory has become an important place for the employees of the factory and the people of that region because of its social and economic contributions to both Kayseri and the district where it is located. In addition, it has developed many projects and make implemented in many areas to protect the environment and produce healthy products.
