It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Konumu gereği yüzyıllardır bir konaklama yeri teşkil etmesi sebebiyle Podandos, Paduvanda, Bozantı gibi farklı isimlerle anıldıktan sonra Pozantı ismini almıştır. Pozantı hem kentleşme açısından uğradığı önemli değişiklikler hem de Milli Mücadele döneminde Pozantı Kongresi'nin düzenlenmesine ev sahipliği yapmasından dolayı kritik bir önem arz etmektedir. Cumhuriyet öncesi ve sonrası yaşadığı önemli değişimler Pozantı şehrini araştırılmaya ve ziyaret edilmeye değer bir yer haline getirmiştir.Pozantı is a district of Adana province and has historical importance as it has been the accommodation place of many civilizations over the years. Due to its location, it has been an accommodation place for centuries, and after being known by different names such as Podandos, Paduvanda, Bozantı, it took the name Pozantı. Pozantı is of critical importance both because of the significant changes it has undergone in terms of urbanization and because it hosted the organization of the Pozantı Congress during the War of Independence.
