It questions the role of typefaces in communication and whether ideologies are embedded in typefaces, culturally, socially or due to their designers' intention. This work follows the discussions on the neutrality of typefaces as they are more than a tool in communication; instead, they are individual message bearers. The project aims to depict the typefaces as personal artistic statements. The project concludes with four different typeface designs which emphasize form, content, synthesis and context respectively; thus, the project establishes different ways of communication with the audience.x, 72 leaves, illustrations ; 30 cm.Englishinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessTypeTypeface designIdeologyEncoding/ decodingTypography and ideology: typeface design as a statementTipografi ve ideoloji : bir ifade biçimi olarak yazı tipi tasarımıThesisB134001
