It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (pages 19-20).Bu proje kapsamında Mimar Vedat Tek'in (1873-1942) hayatının erken dönemleri, ailesi, eğitim geçmişi ve başarıları incelendi ve bu sayede mimari anlayışına ve tarzına katkıda bulunmuş olan etkenler araştırıldı, birbirleriyle ilişkilendirildi. Ayrıca Vedat Tek'in Ankara'da bulunan Ankara Palas (1927), Ġkinci TBMM Binası (1923) ve Çankaya Gazi Köşkü'nün ek binaları eserleri hakkında ayrıntılı araştırma ve inceleme yapıldı, bu eserler ziyaret edilerek mimarın tekniği ve tarzı tarafımızca gözlemlenip projemizde aktarıldı. Bu projenin sonunda Vedat Tek'in, dönemin eserleri üzerindeki etkisi Ankara'daki somut örneklerle incelenmiş oldu.Within the scope of this project, the early stages of the life of Vedat Tek (1873-1942), his family, his educational background and achievements have been examined and the factors that have contributed to his architectural perspective and style have been investigated and associated with one another. Furthermore, Ankara Palas (1927), the Second Grand National Assembly of Turkey (1923) and Cankaya Gazi Pavilion which are Vedat Tek's works situated in Ankara, have been examined throughly and visited so as to observe the architect's technique and style by the project group.
