Jazz music first arrived to Turkey in the 1920s. Although at first it was played mostly by foreigners and minorities, it was later adopted and played by many Turkish musicians as well. Two of those musicians are Burhan Tonguç and İsmet Sıral. Burhan Tonguç was an expert in rhythm and percussion, and İsmet Sıral was an expert in wind instruments and playing the saxophone. The two artists were also very close friends. Both of them were very influential on jazz music in their own fields, and both of them have trained many jazz artists in Turkey. Despite being known by almost all Turkish jazz artists in the 1960s, many sources about them have been lost and didn’t manage to survive until today.28 pagesTurkishCreative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlikehttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/Burhan Tonguçİsmet SıralCazTürk Caz MüziğiTürk Caz SanatçılarıJazzTurkish JazzMusicTurkish Jazz ArtistsTürk Caz müziğinde iki önemli isim: Burhan Tonguç ve İsmet SıralStudent ProjectSPB3558
