It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Holding başlangıçta ham maddeyi işleyen bir fabrika olarak kurulup ilerleyen yıllarda kâğıt, tekstil ve enerji alanlarında faaliyet göstermeye başlamıştır. Sanayinin çeşitli dallarında gerçekleştirdikleri atılımlara ek olarak sosyal sorumluluk projelerinde de yer alarak toplum bilincinin artırılmasına katkı sağlamaktadırlar. Bu makalenin ana amacı çeşitli sektörlerde faaliyet göstererek başarıyı yakalayan ve kâr amacı gütmeyen vakıflar kurarak insanlığa ve çevreye hizmet eden Abalıoğlu Holding’in kuruluşunu ve yakın Türkiye tarihi içindeki gelişim sürecini incelemektir.Abalıoğlu Holding was founded in 1941 by Cafer Sadık Abalıoğlu when he started his business career. Initially they established a factory that processed raw materials and went on to operate on many fields such as paper, textile and energy. In addition to their advancements in business industry, they also took place in social responsibility projects, helping to increase public awareness.
