It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Altınpark da bu kent parklarından biridir. Tasarımı için Ankara Büyükşehir Belediyesi tarafından 1985’te bir yarışma ilanı verilmiştir. Sonrasında 1986’da temel atma çalışmalarına başlanmıştır. Parkın olduğu bölge bu temel atma çalışmalarından önce bir golf sahası olarak oranın golf kulübüne ev sahipliği etmiştir. İnsanlar, Altınpark’ı stresli şehir hayatından uzaklaşıp kendilerini rahatlatacak bir yer olarak görmektedir. Altınpark sadece yeşillik alandan ibaret olmayıp aynı zamanda birçok sosyal aktivitenin yapılmasına da olanak sağlamaktadır. Bunu sağlamak için Altınpark’ın içine çeşitli bilim merkezleri, restoranlar ve eğlence merkezleri kurulmuştur. Ek olarak da Altınpark’ta yıllar içinde birçok fuar alanı açılmıştır. Altınpark Anadolu’nun dört bir yanından bitkilere ev sahipliği etmektedir. Park şehir merkezine çok yakında olup mimarisi de yarışmayı kazanan mimarlar tarafından özenle tasarlanmıştır.Urban parks are important areas for the urban lifestyle. Altınpark is one of these city parks. A competition announcement was made in 1985 by the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality for its design. Afterwards, groundbreaking work began in 1986. The area where the park is located was home to its golf club as a golf course before these groundbreaking works. People see Altınpark as a place to get away from the stressful city life and relax. Altınpark is not only a green area, but also provides opportunities for many social activities. In order to achieve this, various science centers, restaurants and entertainment centers were established inside Altınpark. In addition, many fairgrounds have been opened in Altınpark over the years. Altınpark hosts plants from all over Anatolia.
