Mübadele öncesi Balkanlarda tütün işçiliği ve sendikal mücadeleye yönelik elde edilen deneyimler, Roman tütün işçileri tarafından Türkiye’ye taşınıp yeni bir gelenek oluşturmuştur. Nitekim, tütün işçiliği yapmış bir aileden gelen Zehra Kosova’nın hayatında tütün önemli bir rol oynamıştır. Birçok yerde tütün işçisi olarak çalışan Zehra Kosova, 1946 yılında Tütüncüler Sendikası’nı kurmasıyla Türkiye’deki sendikal mücadelenin öncülüğünü yapmıştır.Zehra Kosova, the first female trade unionist of Turkey, who immigrated to Turkey with her family with the Turkish-Greek Population Exchange after the Treaty of Lausanne was signed and was born in Kavala in 1910, played a major role in the trade unionism and labor movement in Turkey. The experiences gained in tobacco work and union struggle in the Balkans before the exchange, were carried to Turkey by Roman tobacco workers and formed a new tradition. As a matter of fact, tobacco played an important role in the life of Zehra Kosova, who came from a family that worked as a tobacco worker. Zehra Kosova, who works as a tobacco worker in many places, pioneered the trade union struggle in Turkey when she founded the Tobacco Union in 1946.22 pagesTurkishCreative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlikeNüfus mübadelesİPartiGöçLozan antlaşmasıMoskovaTütünKomünist hareketİşçi haklarıGrevFabrikaPopulation exchangePartyİmmigrationTreaty of LausanneMoscowTobaccoCommunist movementWorkers' rightsStrikeFactoryİlk kadın sendikacı Zehra KosovaStudent ProjectSPB3822
