It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (pages 21-22).Bu çalışmada 31 Ocak 1928’de kurulan Türk Eğitim Derneği’nin 80’li yıllardan bugüne kadarki değişimi incelenmektedir. Bu derneğin kuruluş amaçlarından en önemlisi yeterli olanaklara sahip olmayan, başarılı öğrencilere burs vermektir. Bu doğrultuda, 93 yıldır faaliyetlerine devam etmekte olan Türk Eğitim Derneği’nin Ankara’da açtığı TED Ankara Kolejinin olanakları ve değişimi, mezunlarının anlatımıyla gözlemlenmiştir. Kolej’in o dönemdeki merkezi konumunun, okulun işleyişinin ve okuldaki sosyal aktivitelerin öğrencilere sağladığı avantajlar ve dezavantajlar değerlendirilmiş, aynı zamanda 80’li yıllardaki siyasi olayların okul ve öğrenciler üzerindeki etkileri de incelenmiştir. Çalışmanın sonunda ise TED Ankara Kolejinin işleyişi, öğrencilerin okul içi ve okul dışı hayatı için 1980’li yıllar ve daha öncesi ile günümüz arasında bir kıyaslama yapılmıştır.In this study, the change of the Turkish Education Association, from the 1980s to the present which was established on January 31, 1928 was examined. The most important of the founding purposes of this association is to give scholarships to successful students who do not have sufficient opportunities. In this direction, the possibilities and changes of TED Ankara College, which has been opened in Ankara by the Turkish Education Association & has been continuing its activities for 93 years, was examined by the expressions of graduate students. The advantages and disadvantages of the location of the school, its functioning and the social activities that school provides has been evaluated. Moreover, the effects of the political events of the 1980's on school and students were also examined.
