It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Kuruluşundan itibaren bir aile mirası olarak korunan ve hem Antalya’da hem de Türkiye’de adını duyuran Parlak Restoran ilk olarak Mustafa Parlak tarafından kurulmuştur. Parlak Restoran 60’lı yılların başında Türkiye’ye ilk kömürde pilici getiren restoran olmuştur. 1954 yılından itibaren ayakta olan bu restoranı Mustafa Parlak’ın vefatı sonrası oğlu Güray Parlak devralmıştır. Bu makalede, Parlak Restoran’ın kuruluşu, Güray Parlak dönemi, Parlak Restoran’ın günümüzdeki durumu, Parlak Restoran’ın Antalya’ya katkıları, Zincirli Han’ın önemi ve nesiller arası aktarımını incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır.In this article, the story of Parlak Restaurant, which was established as a family restaurant in the 200-year-old Zincirli Han, known as the trade center of Antalya, and has been serving for 69 years. Parlak Restaurant, which has been preserved as a family legacy since its establishment and has made a name for itself both in Antalya and in Turkey, was first founded by Mustafa Parlak. Parlak Restaurant was the first restaurant to bring charbroiled chicken to Turkey in the early 60s. After the death of Mustafa Parlak, his son Güray Parlak took over this restaurant, which has been in existence since 1954.
