It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Öztrak Ailesi, Türkiye Cumhuriyeti'nin siyasi tarihinde büyük rol oynamış ailelerden biridir. Kökenleri bürokrasiye dayanan Öztrak Ailesi, siyasi bakımdan ülkenin doğuşunda ve gelişiminde önemli rollere sahiptir. Faik Öztrak (1882), Osmanlı İmparatorluğu döneminde Mustafa Kemal Paşa ve İsmet İnönü gibi önemli isimlerle ilişkileri olan bir siyasetçidir. Öztrak Ailesi, Cumhuriyet döneminden günümüze aktif olarak siyasette yer almıştır ve almaya devam etmektedir. Faik Öztrak (1954) ve diğer aile üyeleri, Türk siyasetinde önemli görevlerde bulunmuş ve Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi'nde kritik roller üstlenmişlerdir. Bu yazı, aile üyelerinin siyasi etkinliklerini, başarılarını ve Türk siyaset tarihinde Öztrak Ailesi'nin önemini vurgulamaktadır.The Öztrak Family has been playing a significant role in the political history of the Republic of Turkey for a long time. With their bureaucratic background, the Öztrak family has an important role in the formation and development of the country. Faik Öztrak (1882), during the late Ottoman Empire, had close relationships with prominent figures such as Mustafa Kemal Pasha and İsmet İnönü. The Öztrak family has remained actively involved in politics during the Republican era and till today. Faik Öztrak (1954) and other family members have held significant positions and played critical roles within the Republican People's Party (CHP).
