It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Âşık geleneğinin kökenleri, Emlek ve Tokat bölgelerindeki kapsamı ve Alevi gelenekleri ile olan bağlar da ele alınmaktadır. Çalışma ayrıca, âşıkların performansları ve öğretileri aracılığıyla ahlaki ve sosyal değerlerin korunmasındaki rollerini ve bu unsurların değişen Türk kültürel kimliğinin sürdürülmesindeki önemini vurgulamaktadır. Son olarak, değişen çağın bu geleneğe olan etkisini ele almakta ve küresel ve teknolojik değişimler karşısında gelecekteki sürdürülebilirliğini tartışmaktadır.This document examines the tradition of Âşık poetry and music within Turkey, focusing on the place it has within Alevi-Bektaşi beliefs and the contributions of Âşık composer Sadık Doğanay to this cultural heritage. It explores the origins of the Âşık tradition, its evolution across Emlek and Tokat regions, and its connection with Alevi traditions. The study also highlights the role of Âşık composers in preserving moral and societal values through their compositions and teachings, and how these elements have played an important role in sustaining Turkish cultural identity.
