Bibliopolism in Ankara has been going on for a long time. These bibliopoles’ main job is to find, collect and trade second-hand, sometimes old and rare books as well as documents on certain topics that they choose to build their collections around. Each bibliopole is a unique address for people looking for information on specific topics and periods rather than common sections found in most bookstores. Bibliopolism, similar to other occupations, have changed and evolved over time, taking influence from the time period they occupy. In Ankara, bibliopolism and the culture surrounding it, have also shifted with the influence of the political, economic, and sociocultural environment of Turkey alongside the steps taken by those who have carried on the profession the longest. In this study, the changes undergone by the bibliopoles in Ankara have been studied from the 1980s to 2000s; in the context of the 1980 military coup and digitization that began to rise toward the 2000s.19 pages.TurkishCC BY-NC-ND (Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 4.0 International)https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/SahaflıkAnkaraDijitalleşmeDarbeBibliopolismDigitizationMilitary coup1980’lerden 2000’lere Ankara’da değişen sahaflık kültürüStudent ProjectSPB5089
