It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (pages 17-18).Füreya Koral 1910 yılında İstanbul’da dünyaya gözlerini açmıştır. Ailesinde birçok önemli sanatçı olmasından ötürü sanat ile iç içe büyümüştür. Eğitiminde felsefe üzerinde yoğunlaşan Füreya Koral bir süre öğretmenlik yaptıktan sonra yakalandığı verem hastalığı nedeniyle İsviçre’ye gitmek durumunda kalmıştır. İsviçre’de tedavi gördüğü hastanede seramik ile tanışmış, daha sonra bu alanda uzmanlaşmak istemiştir. Füreya Koral seramik alanında birçok unutulmaz esere imza atmış, ilk Türk kadın seramik sanatçısı olarak büyük işler başarmıştır.Füreya Koral was born in 1010 in İstanbul. She was grown up with the arts all the time because in her family there are many artists. At first, she chose the philosophy department and then she worked as a teacher for serving the country. She went to go to the Swiss for treatment because she had the tuberculosis. While she was staying at the hospital in Swiss, she met with ceramics and she wanted to be an expert about the ceramics.
