It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (page 21).Bu çalışmada, 1951 yılında doğan ve çok yönlü bir kişi olan Mustafa Cantekin’in hayatı genel hatlarıyla incelenmiştir. Çocukluğu ve gençlik yılları çeşitli zorluklarla baş etmekle geçen Cantekin, çocukluğundan gençlik yıllarının başına kadar müziğe oldukça ilgili iken zamanla muhafazakârlaşma sürecine girerek müziği bıraktı. Hayata tutunma mücadelesi sırasında denediği çeşitli meslekler arasından pastacılıkta karar kılan Cantekin; uzun yıllar Kayseri’nin Develi ilçesinde ilçenin ilk ve tek pastanesini işleterek pastane kültürü bağlamında Develi’nin sosyal, kültürel ve ekonomik olarak değişiminde önemli bir rol oynadı. Bu çalışmayı hazırlarken Mustafa Cantekin’in anı defteri, fotoğrafları ve yakınlarıyla yapılan röportajlardan yararlanıldı.In this study; the life of Mustafa Cantekin, who was born in 1951 and was a versatile person, was examined in general terms. Cantekin, who coped with various difficulties during his childhood and adolescence, was interested in music from his childhood to the beginning of his youth, but gradually entered the process of conservatism and quit music. Cantekin, who decided on being a pastry chef among the various professions he tried during his struggle to hold on to life, played an important role in the social, cultural and economic changes of Develi in the context of patisserie culture by operating the first and only patisserie in Develi, a district of Kayseri, for many years.
