Meteorology Vocational High School is a thematic high school established in Ankara in 1945 to train personnel in the field of meteorology and closed in 2009. The school is located on the same campus as the General Directorate of Meteorology. The main reason for students to prefer Meteorology Vocational High School, who came from all over the Turkey, was the job opportunities after graduation. In addition to the courses available in regular high schools, special vocational courses in meteorology were also given at the school. Meteorology Vocational High School graduates have developed themselves in meteorology by doing compulsory service for a certain period.
