It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (pages 14-15).Erzurum Kayak Kulübü kurulduğu günden itibaren günümüze kadar kayak alanında önemli başarılar elde etmiştir. Türkiye’de kış sporlarına uygun coğrafi koşulların bulunmasına rağmen kayağa ve tesisleşmeye yeterli miktarda maddi destek ve olanak olmadığı halde imkansızlıklar içinde başarılı olan ve Türkiye’yi yurtdışında temsil eden Erzurum Kayak Kulübü ve sporcuları araştırılmaya değer görülmüştür. Erzurum Kayak Kulübü’nün yetiştirdiği sporculardan olan Yakup Kadri Birinci, Arif Alaftargil ve Atakan Alaftargil olimpiyatlarda Türkiye’yi temsil etmiştir. Kulübün eski başkanı İhsan Özgöral ve kulübün sporcularından Yakup Kadri Birinci ve Atakan Alaftargil ile röportaj yapılmıştır.Since the establishment of Erzurum Ski Club, it has signifcant achievements in skiing. Turkey’s geographic conditions are appropiate for skiing, however, financial support for skiing and facilities is inadequate. Erzurum Ski Club and its skiers are worth investigating because although there are lack of resources, club has become successful and its skiers represented Turkey abroad. Yakup Kadri Birinci, Arif Alaftargil and Atakan Alaftargil are skieers of Erzurum Ski Club who represented Turkey in olympics.
