It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (pages 18-20).Bu araştırmanın konusu, 1999-2001 yılları arasında Hava Kuvvetleri Komutanlığı yapan ve Türk Hava Kuvvetlerinin modernleşmesine birçok katkı sağlayan Ergin Celasin’dir. Bu çalışmada; Celasin’in hayatının yanı sıra Anadolu Kartalı’nın kuruluş dönemi ve Cazın Kartalları Orkestrası’nın gelişme dönemi araştırıldı. Türk Hava Kuvvetlerinin gelişimini daha net bir şekilde gözlemleyebilmek için Celasin’i ve Celasin öncülüğünde getirilen yenilikleri bilmek, büyük önem taşımaktadır. Ergin Celasin’in Hava Kuvvetleri çatısı altında müzik kültürünün gelişmesindeki katkıları, dünya standartlarına uygun bir tatbikat filosunun kurulmasındaki yardımları ve yeni bir uzay enstitüsü kurulmasındaki öncülüğü; Celasin’in Türk Hava Kuvvetlerindeki çağdaşlaşma sürecini anlamamızı sağlayan bazı kanıtlardır.The subject of this research is Ergin Celasin, who served as the Air Force Commander between 1999-2001 and made many contributions to the modernization of the Turkish Air Force. In this study; The private life of Celasin, the founding period of the Anatolian Eagle and the development periods of the Eagles of Jazz were investigated. It is of great importance to know Celasin and the innovations brought under the leadership of Celasin in order to observe the development of the Turkish Air Force more clearly.
