It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (pages 22-23).Eczacıbaşı Spor Kulübü 1966 yılında şakir Eczacıbaşı tarafıdan kuruldu. şakir Eczacıbaşı takımların daha profesyonel çalışması için Cengiz Göllü’ye antranörlük teklif etti ve 1972 yılında birlikte çalışmaya başladılar. Eczacıbaşı Spor Kulübünün en temel amacı bünyesindeki sporculara teknik bilgilerin verilmesinin yanında disiplin kazandırmak ve modern bireyler olarak yetişmelerini sağlamaktır. Spor disiplini gelişen voleybol oyuncuları ile 1980 yılında avrupa şampiyonasında ikinci olarak kupa kazanan ilk Türk kadın voleybol takımı Eczacıbaşı oldu. Türkiye kupasına da katılan takım 1973-1989 yılları arasında birinci olarak 17 yıllık şampiyonluk ile kırılamayan bir rekor elde etti. Voleybolun Türkiye’de yaygın olmadığı dönemde kazanılan başarılar medyanın ve toplumun kadınların spordaki yeri konusundaki bakış açısını değiştirdi ve gençlerin spora yönelmesinde olumlu katkısı oldu. Eczacıbaşı Spor Kulübünün başarılarının arkasındaki vizyon Türkiye tarihinde ilklere imza atmalarını sağladı ve Türkiye’de oynanan voleybolu geliştirip gençlere motivasyon oldu. Günümüze kadar kazanılan birçok şampiyonluk ile Türk kadın voleybolu Avrupa ve dünya çapında söz sahibi oldu.Eczacıbaşı S.K. was founded in 1966 by Sakir Eczacibasi. Sakir Eczacibasi has offered the coaching job to Cengiz Göllü with the purpose of running the club more professionally and they began working together in 1972. Eczacıbaşı S.K’s main goal is to develop athletes by giving them technical information while teaching them how to be model citizens and disciplined. Players who benefitted from the mentoring and the discipline provided by the Eczacıbaşı S.K. reached the final and became the first women volleyball team to win an international trophy in the 1980 European Women Volleyball Championship. Same Eczacıbaşı women’s volleyball team won the Turkish Cup record-breaking 17 times in a row between 1973-1989. Eczacıbaşı S.K. changed the perception of women in sports in the eyes of Turkish people and media for the better and inspired the future generations to take part in sports. The vision behind the success of Eczacıbaşı allowed them to lead the way on development of sports and its structure in Turkey. This success and the vision improved the overall quality of volleyball in Turkey and motivated young women to challenge themselves and participate in sports.
