It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (pages 21-22).Erken Cumhuriyet Döneminde ülkeye yabancı mimarların davet edilmesiyle geleneksel mimarinin ve modern mimarinin harmanlandığı bir süreç içerisine girilmiştir. Bruno Taut da ülkeye davet edilen Alman asıllı bir mimardır. Taut, Türkiye’de bulunduğu 1936-1938 yılları arasında 24 farklı projenin tasarımına imza atmıştır. Çoğu dönem mimarına zıt bir mimarı anlayış benimsemiştir. Bulunduğu ülkelerde gördüğü mimari anlayışları birleştirerek kendi özgün mimari anlayışını oluşturmuştur. Bu makalede Erken Cumhuriyet Döneminde değişmekte olan mimari anlayış, Taut’un yaşamı ve benimsediği mimari anlayış, Türkiye’deki projelerinden Cebeci Ortaokulu, Ankara Atatürk Lisesi, Dil ve Tarih-Coğrafya Fakültesi ve Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’ün katafalkı incelenecektir.In the early Republican period, a process of blending traditional architecture and modern architecture has been entered into with the invitation of foreign architects. Bruno Taut is a German architect who was invited to the Republic of Turkey. Taut, who lived between the years of 1936-1938 in Turkey, made the 24 different project design. He adopted an architect's understanding of contrasting with most architects of the period. He has created his own unique architectural style by combining the architectural conception he has seen in the countries which he lived.
