It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Salih Gün’ün depreme karşı aldığı önlemler, Tavşancıl’daki sosyal hayata ve kültürel etkinliklere katkıları ve spora verdiği önem derinlemesine incelenecektir. Çevreyi ve insanı korumak gibi evrensel değerleri benimseyen ve bilime önem veren Salih Gün’ün çevresinde bu değerleri yaşatması ve yönetim anlayışında uygulaması araştırılmaya değer görülmüştür. Salih Gün’ün Tavşancıl’a katkıları ve Tavşancıl için önemi anlatılacaktır.Salih Gün is a political figure who devoted his life to Tavşancıl and Tavşancılspor. At first, he was the headman of Tavşancıl. When Tavşancıl became a town, he was elected as the first mayor of Tavşancıl and later in his life he took part in the parliament. Through his political career he valued honesty, merit and competence. Salih Gün’s precautions against earthquakes, his contributions the the social life and culture of Tavşancıl will be examined deeply. His devotion to universal values such as valuing people and environment and his determination to apply these values to his governance is found worthy of research.
