It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (page 19).1933 yılında doğan ve 2019 yılında vefat eden Fikri Cantürk, Türk Sanatına edebiyat, heykel ve eserlerinin çoğunu oluşturan resim dallarındaki eserlerle katkı sağlamış sanatçı ve akademisyendir. Bu araştırmada Cantürk'ün eşi Güven Cantürk ve onun öğretmenlik hayatına tanıklık etmiş Prof. Dr. Sevgi Koyuncu ile yapılan sözlü görüşmelerden ve Fikri Cantürk üzerine yazılmış dergi yazısı ve kitap bölümlerinden yararlanılarak özel hayatı ve sanat hayatı anlatılmıştır. Fikri Cantürk'ün büyüdüğü köy ve devamında aldığı eğitimin, onun sanatçı kişiliğinin oluşumundaki etkisinin üzerinde durulmuştur. Öğrencilerinin hayatına bulunduğu katkı gibi Türk Resim Sanatı'na da kattığı değerden bahsedilerek Türk Resim Sanatı'ndaki önemi vurgulanmıştır.Fikri Cantürk, who was born in 1993 and died in 2019, was an academician and an artist who contributed to the history of Turkish Art with his special artworks in various branches, especially in painting as well as literature and sculpture. In this project, his personal life and art life are demonstrated with the support of the interviews done with his wife Güven Cantürk and Prof. Dr. Sevgi Koyuncu who was a previous student of him as well as the magazine article and book chapters written about Fikri Cantürk. Moreover, the impact of the village where he grew up and the education he received are emphasized in the emergence of his artistic personality.
