The rate of productivity and success have not been static during this period. The article analyzes the history of social media sites developed by people born and raised in Turkey through its relation with Turkish people and evolution by time. The main reason why this topic has been chosen for the article is that the applications developed by Turkish developers did not get a traction across the globe, however, similar applications developed by foreign developers became popular in the last 20 years. In this context, a Turkish social media developer was asked about what were the mistakes and the biggest obstacles during the process of developing such an application. An interview has been made with Sedat Kapanoğlu, who is the founder and developer of Ekşi Sözlük. Ekşi Sözlük is the biggest social media in Turkey at the time this article is being written.
